Working on a collection of perfumed candles has been such a fun! Of course there’s the scent development and finding the right partners for the wax and the assembly, oh and did we mention the fulfilment? There are many different parts to a business and to running it, but here we wanted to really shine the spotlight on the container of our beautiful perfumed candle…

Stoke-On-Trent in the UK, as it turns out, is a major epicentre for the making of ceramics. From vases to plates to butter dishes, you name it, they can make it. So I embarked on a thorough search of the workshops in the area, what they made, their ethos, where they source from. Next, a visit to the actual town of the turntable was a must. I took the train up to meet with my soon to be partners and was absolutely blown away by the level of craftsmanship and know-how the different sites exude. There’s the kiln area, the hand application area, the printing area. What a trip! To see all these different parts come together to make something so special, made with love, care, from bare hands, that will stay in people’s homes forever is nothing short of exciting. And yes, forever. That’s because everything is made from English fine bone China, which is the mightiest of natural material there is, preventing breakage. We’re sold.
